Josh Utterz: Walk to Work
Posted by Josh | Filed under Hope for the Future, The Josh Mormann Show
Crunching along the gravel of the Franklin Commuter Rail line, one of the many back-way short cuts to the office, Josh says hi to his listeners for the first time in a long time. Warning all those who care, that new episode should be posted this evening.

The JMS 145: Battlestar Crack-lactica [leaves footy taste]
Posted by Josh | Filed under Meaningful Labor, The Josh Mormann Show
I have really lost it, too much Battlestar, and other ridiculous fiction the past few days. I don’t make sense, and I say things that may come off as offensive to some, although probably not, but in my whacked out mental state, I assumed so repeatedly, and basically just keep my foot in my mouth the entire show. I also prove I can’t read aloud, and that I can put on a crappy English accent when reading poorly.
Oh I don’t know, enjoy the show:
The Josh Mormann Show - 145
The tech story I couldn’t read:
The Web’s Dark Energy
The Seth Godin Blog Entry I referred to:
Let Me See from Seth’s Blog
The Book series I can’t start let alone finish:
The Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyer
Just for the record, I’m really happy for Stephanie Meyer for getting published, and being so succesful and from coming out of nowhere to do so well for herself. Her books obviously have a real appeal to the people she intends to reach. The book is convincing for what it is, and she does a great job of helping the reader suspend her disbelief and allow for the kinds of characters her book includes. However I personally cannot care much less about the story that is told with her convincing characters thus far.
I was expecting the story to be more universally compelling, not merely a complicated romance story. Having not finished the book, it is possible, that something might happen worth discussing something may just open up in the second half, but I haven’t the desire to read much further. I can no longer rely on the hope that something might happen. I’ve read too many books, and watched too many movies that have lead me on with expectations of “something”, where I was ultimately only fooled by my own expectations, that I really am struggling to bring myself any further along in this book. As for Ms. Meyer however, I wish her the best of luck and continued phenomenal success.
