Upon my download of the application however, I was taken aback by how outdated the application icon looked. Surely an app like this, must have users that have some design skills, right?? Isn’t anyone in the user-base willing to offer up some time, and create something more substantial? Why such a bland icon?

Being a good-natured giver like I can be I attempted to design a new icon for MPEG Streamclip, but was ignored by the staff when I offered it to them at no charge.

I have however been successful in submitting replacement icons to developers before, and my work has been accepted with gratitude. I’ve even gotten software in exchange for it.

YemuZip, and File Chute still use my icon designs.

Well, regardless of what my success in the past has been, or what trouble I’ve been given by Squared 5. I have made my alternative icon for MPEG Streamclip available below, for all to use.
