The JMS 116: JC Hutchins Is The Man!
Posted by Josh | Filed under Reciprocal Affection, The Josh Mormann Show
Took two days to record this one, but I finished, and I’m posting it. I really need to get more of my life squared away, so that can do more of this podcasting stuff. I have too many ideas to just sit back and let time pass me by on someone else’s signed checks. I want to start writing my own checks soon.
BTW that Yazoo business vs YAZ the real creator of Situation was prompted by DJ Lobsterdust’s naming of the mashup, not because I thought that song was actually by any group called “Yazoo”
This show is all about what JC Hutchins is cooking up, so please check out his feed, and sites at:
* JC on Twitter
* JC’s 7th Son Podcast Novels
* JC’s Blackout
Music Played:
* Urgent Situation by DJ Lobsterdust
* World in My Eyes by Depeche Mode
The JMS [No Show]: Stuck on the Train
Posted by Josh | Filed under Reciprocal Affection, The Josh Mormann Show
I didn’t get to record a show last night. The train getting stuck [See my tweets] really slapped me around, I wanted to really push JC Hutchins’ new efforts, but I didn’t get the chance. I should be able to hit you up tonight though. Join me in following the JC.

The JMS 113: Covering Tulsa
Posted by Josh | Filed under Reciprocal Affection, The Josh Mormann Show
A Saturday afternoon show. I cover a bit about Tulsa, a local band that in the Metro claims that they don’t sound like My Morning Jacket, or Band of Horses, as they are often sold to, so I put them to the test, and despite my assumptions, they really don’t. It’s pretty sad that a common vocal effect like reverb can be considered a legitimate tie-in for comparison. I don’t hear the similarities at all Tulsa is a lot less polished, and a lot grittier and harder than the bands they are most often compared to, and I find the comparison way off.
Music Played:
* Prelude by Dimitri from Paris
* Delauded by The Glib
* #2 by Tulsa

The JMS 001: Don’t Fire Your Receptionist
Posted by Josh | Filed under Ex Mormonism, Hope for the Future, Reciprocal Affection, The Josh Mormann Show
I rave about Tiki Bar TV, and rant about an old ex-friend’s terrible business sense.
Thank you Stumblers!

It may appear that I haven’t written anything for days on this site, and for sure nothing of merit has been posted recently, but it’s not because I don’t appreciate the spectacular response from my fellow stumbleupon.com users. In fact I have been writing more than ever due to that warm welcome (I had almost three thousand visitors this past weekend! That’s almost three thousand times my usual visitor number). I have been writing so much, that I am having trouble paring it all down to suit a blog entry. I’m starting to get book ideas from the whole mess actually. No delusions of grandeur or anything, just too many ideas—a problem that has plagued me my entire life.
See, as I have alluded to a couple of times previously, I have a few projects, and internet-working experiments that I wish to roll out soon, and part of my current writing effort is to make some sense out of these things, and roll them out for you all to be a part [should you choose], while remaining at least somewhat entertaining.
I promise to keep you posted.
Finding good stuff these days…
Posted by Josh | Filed under Hope for the Future, Reciprocal Affection
For the past couple day’s worth of free (stolen) time, I’ve found myself with a greater desire to read someone else’s material rather than write out my own feelings or ideas, and here are a couple of the things I’ve been reading.
10 Articles that Changed my Life
By Shaun Boyd
This alone is a great read, but as you’ll notice, it will put on on many additional paths of great reading.
Real Men Love the Fifth Element
By The Viking
This just reminded me how good one of my favorite movies really is. It also had me thinking about how my father watched his favorite movie so many times that he found deeper and more specific reasons to love the film as he watched it. It had me thinking that I should dig deeper into the things I love more often.
Now how do I find my articles and Blogs and what not? I use PopURLs.com as my browser home page. It’s hard to get anything done when this puppy is set as your home page, but it’s worth the distraction.
