The JMS 158: Rainy Day Music
Posted by Josh | Filed under The Josh Mormann Show
On the ride home today, it began to rain, and the timing couldn’t have been better. Sometimes the sights and sounds associated with an unexpected shower can hit the spot, and just make me happy.
Because I have a lot of work to do tonight on a side project, I don’t have time to go on about things, but it works out well, because there isn’t much I’m prepared to talk about tonight there is always plenty to say, but the theme of friendship needs a better soundtrack than I was able to scare up quickly. So these are just songs that either are about rain, remind me of rain, sound good with the rain, or have the same affect on my soul as rain.
It’s tough though, I’m starting to think of waaaay more songs I should have played. I’ll save them for another rainy day I guess.
Music Played:
Diamonds On My Windshield by Tom Waits
Wet, Wet, Wet, by Badly Drawn Boy
Alone in Kyoto by Air
Go Slowly by Radiohead
Back to the Old House by The Smiths
Quiero Libertad by Gipsy Kings
No Ordinary Love by Sade
Promenade by U2
The Same Deep Water As You
Now We Are Free by Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard

The JMS 157: After a Party of a Saturday
Posted by Josh | Filed under Me, The Josh Mormann Show
Sorry everyone, I have had a few days away from my desk at home, and honestly, I don’t even remember what I talked about or what I played back when this episode was recorded, so I will listen to it now, and post the song links shortly. hope you enjoy it. The songs are pretty good now that I’ve re-listened.
I’ll be back at it tonight, and for the rest of the week, although moving the next two weekends could cut back on my show duties on the weekends until mid November.
Enjoy!

The JMS 155: Late Night New Tunes
Posted by Josh | Filed under Me, The Josh Mormann Show
This is just a quick recap of my day, some good tunes and a sign off. Not much, I didn’t get started until late. I did it though. EVERYDAY I do this. I’ve gone back to my belief in quantity not so much the quality of content. I do quality in other areas, where the quantity or frequency is lower. By posting songs I don’t have the right to broadcast though, I can kinda make up the difference, so that works for now.

I Like Your Hair by Scotty Vanity
Leather and Lace by Stevie Nicks and Don Henley

The JMS 152: Duh, Fear! That’s My REAL problem!!
Posted by Josh | Filed under The Josh Mormann Show
F.E.A.R. = Fuck Everything And Run. (Great stuff Don, as always)
It took a day, but my real problem is and has always been FEAR. Fear might protect us from on coming vehicles, and in this way, it is probably a good feature of the human condition, but it has crept into too much of the human lifestyle. I for one have postponed, damaged, lost, or just plain ruined so much of my life due to misplaced fear. Tonight’s episode is about that, and how silly of an elephant in the room kind of epiphany that has been to me just in the past 4 hours. I discussed it earlier today, but for some reason it still didn’t even sink in until my train ride home.

A Good Horse by The Cardigans

The JMS Episode 151: Back on, and in a big way.
Posted by Josh | Filed under Me, The Josh Mormann Show
Despite technical difficulties up the butt on this one. I’m posting Episode 151, and I’m up to no good as far as illegal music, but under fair use, I’m hoping that the fact that all these songs relate to my current life situation might get me some slack from the RAA.
Hell, if the RAA contacts me, I’d be glad. I don’t get enough circulation at this point for anyone to notice anyway.
Oh, and before you click this, know that there is a dead air gap and a click before it starts. GarageBand couldn’t bounce and compress this file. It was too big, and had too many extra files in it. It choked like 5 agonizing times before I gave up and just ran it through Audio Hijack Pro. And because I have nothing that can edit a raw MP3 that I know of, we’re stuck with this version for now.
