The JMS 111: No Palindrome Party :-/
Posted by Josh | Filed under Hope for the Future, Me, The Josh Mormann Show
No Palindromic Party for me tonight, but I record the show anyway! I am back to my standard rambling about whatever.
I answer Drew’s question for audio software, and also offer up some advice for which podcasting niche to work in.
Here are some links man:
* CastBlaster
* Audacity
* Podiobooks
* JC Hutchins
* Scott Sigler (I said Sig Sigler oops)
Well I kinda go off about social media website publicity, and how no one really helps his or her friends in their promotional efforts. I explain Alexa.com and install their tool bar to help explain how big of a deal Digg is. But it doesn’t seem to matter how “important” a site is. How can I expect anyone to Digg my brother’s videos, or podcast episodes when I don’t bother going to parties, or functions announced by friends and/or acquaintances on Facebook or Myspace? The truth is, we are all too busy, but I don’t think any of us know the power of a click or two in sites like Digg, or Stumbleupon, or others. Most people I know don’t even know what Digg.com is, let alone, have the desire to cast a vote on such a site for a friend’s project. The truth is though, 200+ positive votes on Digg from from your closer circle of influence, would be enough to put someone you know on the map, and get national recognition, and sometimes that’s the only thing missing ingredient your friend needs for his/her dream career. I personally want to be able to promote my friends in this way, and this is the whole purpose for, and genesis of Click Nation Army. Join me if you’re interested in the same goals.
