The JMS 092: Don’t Listen to this Episode
Posted by Josh | Filed under The Josh Mormann Show
Hi everybody, I’m surprisingly lubricated (with very little alchohol) to be trusted this evening. I had a great time seeing Brigid sing tonight, and hanging out with her briefly post musica. I now celebrate my weekend by having additional beverage, and proceeding to say things I can’t now remember.
Best of Luck.
Love Josh

I completely spaced (what would have been) the simplest part of my job for the big Ben. I have to keep this short, so that I can try to turn something around for him tonight.
Well we’re NOT going to do more of the IodaPromoNet.com business today, because I DON’T like it.
Oh, Check out Erowid.org

* Can I Play with Madness by Iron Maiden
* Van Tango by Franz Ferdinand
The JMS 090: Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam!

Well in the process of explaining my cool new tool for emailing, it becomes obvious that I’m a spam artist for my day job. What can I say though, with big brother abilities it’s hard to not want to be a spammer. :) Now, technically, I’m a targeted email marketer, but it just sounds so much more fun that I call myself a spammer.
I express my concern for Hamid and his family, and my worries as to how much work he’s been through for us as a company. I hope to start paying him soon for the big CRM project, but I would understand if he’d rather cut his losses on us all together.
Well we’re going to do more of the IodaPromoNet.com business today, because I like it.

Trying the Ioda Promonet Deal. Podsafe by definition, but not by brand. I had a good time playing this stuff. All of it is very good.
Well I spent the majority of this episode calling around trying to reach peeps that just wouldn’t pick up. I guess I’m nothing over here… :(

* Touchdown by The Shanghai Restoration Project Featuring Natural Fact of Unconscious Logic
* Purpose by Datguy and Alex Pearce
The JMS 088: Putting the Hate on Wacky Packer
Posted by Josh | Filed under Ex Mormonism, The Josh Mormann Show
Well I get back into some Ex-Mormon stuff tonight, and I rant about how much of an Ass Hole Elder Boyd K Packer is. It’s only now that I wish I hadn’t, and not because I dropped a multiplicity of F-bombs tonight, but because I’m now realizing as I add his name to the web in yet another location, I’m just adding to his ego inflation problem. He probably masturbates to Google results about himself, and I’m probably just helping him get off, which is the last thing I’d intentionally be involved in.
Sorry to be so crass, but I woke up with a nagging itch I needed to scratch. Now that I’ve been vocal about my personal gripes about the bastard, I guess I can move on, and leave the man alone. And I probably won’t improve his Google ratings much at all, and I won’t have to worry about the possibility of inadvertently doing him some kind of sick personal favor.
Music Played:
* Grease by Frankie Valli
* Burning Down the House by The Cardigans and Tom Jones
* Accentuate the Positive by Bing Crosby
The JMS 087: Accentuate the Positive

Starting to like these long shows… Now that I can record indefinitely with Ubercaster, I don’t have the restrictions I used to have. I would however like to be able to pick songs as I record, I don’t think that’s possible. I really have to have my show planned out a bit better with this new equipment yo.
Anyways, I go on about Kabbalah again, and how the gripe I had yesterday was more with a particular “brand” or “flavor” of Kabbalah, than with the whole thing. It turns out it’s similar to Linux in the idea that there are several branches of source code so to speak.
I need help with my side projects! If you, or anyone you know would be willing to take art direction from me, and hash together a couple of quick “brochure” type websites for me that would be a huge help. I could pay 30-40 USD per hour depending on experience, and how much work they could take off my plate.
Well, I start to go on and on about being positive again, and I really think that it is what needs to be done. Too many people, and organizations, including those that propose to have the answers, claim that the world is full of darkness, and I disagree. There are bad things, but working together on those bad things, can be a good thing, they can be opportunities for the refreshing feeling of hard work. Did you know “Kung Fu” roughly translates to “hard work?” that makes hard work sound cooler doesn’t it?

The JMS 086: Got to Run from Kabbalah

Well, I’ve decided I need to clear my mind, and cut out the recent Kabbalah studies. As usual I say this in a few more words than here, but I have to remove this ideology before it takes up any more room in my mind, and sets up shop. I really get rather animated, and I’ll probably regret saying what I said in this episode because I am sure someone somewhere will be offended, but I really am bothered by the notions expressed in the books listed below, and I won’t take that back.
I had to abandon last nights episode for the time being. I had some technical difficulties due to intoxication. I really shouldn’t mix drinks with technology. I have the audio files, but the placement and other complicated junk is out of sorts, so I had to let it go for now.
Sorry Chiaki, I had a great chat, but I had to replace last night’s episode with a place holder episode that is only available through the feed I also used the same place holder episode (but with different tunes) to fill out the missing episode 78 for the time being as well. If time ever permits though, I’ll revisit both, and get them posted the way they were supposed to be.
Don’t Listen to these books unless you want a brain cloud:
* Attaining the Worlds Beyond: A Guide to Spiritual Discovery
* Kabbalah, Science, and the Meaning of Life: Because Your Life Has Meaning
Music Played:
* The Funeral by Band of Horses
* Lust by 7 Shot Screamers
* Killing Moon by Echo & The Bunnymen
The JMS 082: Audio Beats the Video File

Well, you were supposed to get a video for today that I recorded during lunch but QuickTime keeps crapping out during iTunes compression attempts.
I’ve been up way too late playing around and having too much fun last night, and staying too late at work tonight, to get any sleep.
3 Stumbles:
* See . Saw
* See how fast you can type
* Carved Crayons
Note: I still have lots to cover about these past few days, but I don’t have the energy yet, but let’s just say that even the case of the Best and Worst Boots on Record has been solved, and Shauna will be on again too discuss this amazing news soon! Thanks Hamid! (you more than delivered on this my friend!) And thanks again for the Hookah and drinks last night! I may not have sounded enthusiastic on the show tonight, but that’s only because I’m exhausted from having too much fun last night.

Since I had to record a second episode tonight to make up for a planned non ep evening tomorrow night, and I don’t have the next day to talk about, I’m giving you some samples of the music I like but wouldn’t ordinarily tell anyone about. How was that for a run-on sentence?
