The JMS 052: Pod Play by the Podfather!

Not to sound like a giddy little fan boy, but I couldn’t be more stoked by how my audio comment with Allegra went over on The DSC this past Friday.

A few weeks ago I came up with an idea for getting an audio comment on Adam Curry’s podcast, and Allegra agreed to read a script that I wrote, so that she could make the comment for me. It worked better than I ever could have hoped. I don’t think my name was heard as well as I would have liked but I actually influenced the show, so it was really good in that way. Allegra did a great job.

I’m sorry to seem so star struck over Adam Curry. I’m really not doing much for my image just yet am I?

The JMS 051: Talk to You Soon Chiaki

I’m a pathetic mess, having to say goodbye to Chiaki and Buffy in the same weekend. I didn’t think it would affect me so much, because last night, I was too caught up in making sure that everything got taken care of today, and that Chiaki would make her flight. As soon as I dropped her off, I realized I am human. Thanks for being so cool Chiaki, and congratulations for finding a piece of, and place in California, the place I hope to be when I die. But if I could be living there more immediately, say in the next 5 years, that would be even better.

Music Played:

* A Night Like Today Tonight by Bad Wiring
* You’re The Storm by The Cardigans

The JMS 050: One Hand Times Two Hands

I slowly, and softly put out some bizarre comments about the 50th episode and the final episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I’m too tired to be weepy over it, but I think I will be. It was all one of my favorite journeys of fiction that I have ever been on. I also jest that my brother has started the gender reassignment surgery.

Music Played:
* Stars Wield (I was wrong about the availability at iTunes)
* Cold Brains by Beck

The JMS 049: Special Guest Tonight

Chiaki’s here tonight for the show, it’s awesome. It’s been my favorite episode ever. We hung out with her cool friends before hand getting sufficiently drunk.

Music Played:

The JMS 048: Stress Fractured Fast

My Fast was drawn to an end, due to foretold stresses caused by the continued efforts by my landlord to fix while further damaging our plumbing. Once just the kitchen sink and a single day visit, is now all but the toilet, and several weeks. Aaaarrrggg!

Music Played:
* Mourning Air by Portishead
* Safe From You By Frente

Okay, so maybe I did add the show notes tonight… it gave me an excuse to stay up a little later and watch more of Angel. “Morning Mr Angel!”

The JMS 047: Ah, The Good Ol’ Days

The number 47 causes me to reminisce about the old times, hanging out with friends and watching TV, it also reminds me of Bill Buckner (although indirectly).

Music Played:
* Circle by Edie Brickell
* Explode by The Cardigans

The JMS 046: I Get Kinda Cranky

I’m cranky in this one, please don’t listen if you don’t like me using the F-word, I’m pissed about my schedule, and not happy over all.
