The JMS 062: I Gotz to Pay the Rent

Well, it’s the last day of the month, and for me, that means it’s rent paying time. I always like to pay my rent on the last day of the month, and I like to hand deliver it, so that I have no issues with the LL. I just like the first of the month to be a little less aggravating especially since the first this time is a Friday! Woohoo!

I promise to get at least one convorsation recorded this weekend, so that I can start moving forward on the big C “Conversation” in a real way. For those of you new to podcasting, the Conversation is what all this podcasting coolness is supposed to be about. It’s funny though, because as much as recording phone, or online conversations is a major part of podcasting, it turns out to be one of the most difficult things to pin down, and execute with the kind of flexibility that I demand. I am coming close to a solution though, so bear with me, and we will soon have something worth listening to even without you all having to wait till I clean my room up and invite guests all those once in a whiles…

The JMS 061: The Glib Rocks

Well my bro Joe needs to go. It’s too bad my schedule, and transportation situation has prevented me from spending more time with one of my favorite people, and my closest friend. I’ll miss you man! I’m playing a bunch of The Glib’s stuff tonight as well as Stumbling around.

The JMS 060: No More Yawning

Sorry about the yawning last night everybody, I have made it a simple goal to not yawn at you tonight. I want to make this a good show for myself and all those who take the time to download and listen to it, so I really shouldn’t be yawning at you.

Please Help:
I need help getting some recognition so that I can improve the show. If I can get your help to build listener-ship or downloader-ship, it will give me some leverage to get even more really interesting people on the show. I love the guests I’ve had on the show already, because they are close friends of mine, and I have friends I plan on putting on the show again, or for the first time, already slated, and it will only improve things for all my guests and all my listeners equally if we can reach out further with the show. So if you haven’t yet, please visit the links at the bottom of the page next to the word “vote” and register to vote on those sites for me if you would. Pretty please! I can’t vote for my own site so I need your help on this. Thanks in advance! You’re the best.

The JMS 059: A Big Yawn (for all of us)

I had a long day at work. It was one of those evaporatory (sic) days. The whole day completely disappeared as I was cleaning up the typesetting our most recent copy of the “short-form” catalog.

I do want to begin working out all the MANY kinks associated with recording live interviews and chats with people via the internet, so I need to bang off with a quicky tonight so that I can do some research before I go to bed.

NOTE: I have a bizarre non sequitur when thanking everyone from helping me with my attempts to record internet conversations this weekend, and I jump immediately into talking about other podcasts, but my reason for doing so is unexplained… I’m explaining now: I meant to thank everyone for helping me, and then cover the cool interviews I’ve been hearing on other podcasts, and explain that I hope to get things sorted out soon, to be able to do the same sorts of things.

Music Played:

* Beloved President Hinckely Passed (despite my much explained feelings toward the church, I will miss president Hinckley, he was one one of the redeeming aspects of the organization, a kind and friendly example of what people should be like.

The JMS 058: TECHNICAL MONKEY POOP!!!!

I couldn’t get anything right tonight… a Russel Wieland interview tanked, followed by a promising but still failed Chiaki interview, I’m so upset by it all that I really don’t make any sense at all. I stumble on my words, I say things that I don’t mean, and I just want to go to bed and have a new day all new again in the morning…

The JMS 057: Don’t Remember Much

Music Played:
* I Love You by The Mics

The JMS 056: Wear Boots Wisely

Shauna Zanolli (Shazan) and I talk about boots, and just about everything else that comes across our minds over the next hour. We actually go into a realm previously unknown to me. The end of the line for Garage Band (1:05:35) wow, there are limits!

The JMS 055: Episode One Revisited

This is the first go of doing the show notes first!

Post Recording Correction: I don’t know what I was thinking, but my memory of Ramble On by Led Zeppelin was way off. I think it would suit the Show Just fine. I listened to it after recording the show, and realized that I was confused about who was doing all the rambling in the song. It had been way too long since I heard it. I’ve added a Link at the end of the show notes.

Personal News:
The UEI Website is going to be a nightmare to repair. It is a mixed bag of outdated code, but thank all that is good and holy, that we have Hamid Daaboul on the job. If anyone can fix it he can. I would put his email address in the show notes as a link, but I don’t want him to get any spam, but I’ll spell it out this way…

Celebrity News:
Yet another actor dies. I know I’m late to the Heath Ledger story, but It was the first thing I learned Wednesday morning, and I meant to bring it up last night on The JMS. I must admit that as far as young, male actors go, I would have liked to have known Heath Ledger. He was a great actor for his age, and underrated by many. I couldn’t give a crap about most male actors, but I liked him. He had a certain amount of power and influence and wasn’t a dick about it. That’s okay in my book. It sounds to me though, that he was having a personal crisis, and if you don’t have a faith to leave, the only other way out is all the way out. We’ll miss you Heath.

Ex Mo News:
I read the top news on the ex-mo and read what is of interest to me.

The JMS 054: A Special Musical Episode

Special guest: my good man Heath Finnie. Heath actually records his first ever song on the fly. He’s recorded much, much music before, but never a song improvised while he was singing and playing guitar. Trust me it’s an historic first, and you can hear it only on the the Josh Mormann Show.
