The JMS 019: All Over the Map on this one

I end up talking about the War a bit despite my brief mental effort to try and avoid the topic, the playing of 19 by Paul Hardcastle made it impossible to resist. I put on some Bill Hicks, and express some of my awkward thoughts on the war in Iraq.

I also talk all about Federal Reserve Bank and a revolutionary idea I have had for a while, but I also express that I will deny ever mentioning such an idea.

I then [somehow] start talking about becoming “jacked in” pod-people… You’ll have to listen to know what I’m talking about, and even then there is no promise you’ll know what I’m talking about.

Music Played:
* 19 by Paul Hardcastle
* Hey Nineteen by Steely Dan

The JMS 018: 2 Much In 1 Night

Had to record remotely on a bad device, what a mess, doing too much in one night. Had to do the Company Party (great Fillet Minion btw) and a Karaoke at the Asgard to meet a new friend, highly recommended by another friend. Can’t bail on over booked nights, you just have to make them happen.

Music Played:
* She’s only 18 by The Red Hot Chili Peppers
* For Tomorrow by Blur

The JMS 017: Don’t Rip CDs without an Attorney

Kip Winger is more dangerous than the RAA. I say little in this episode, but I do help promote the contest for a show intro, by playing a really bad one that I wasted over an hour producing myself. I still have a bad cold so cut me some slack

Music Played:
* Seventeen by Winger
* Led Zep by Blonde Redhead

The JMS 016: My Cold, a Movie, and a Red Crayon

My current cold puts me all over the place in this one, but if I make any sense at all, amidst my cold-ridden ramble, I hope it’s clear that I encourage everyone to see the movie Juno. If you know what’s good for you, you’ll make an effort to see it.

Music Played:
* Sweet Sixteen by Billy Idol
* Novatel by Adam Green

Movie Recommended:
* Juno

The JMS 015: So, Let’s Go with HD-DVD

I visited my family for the weekend, and bought them an HD-DVD player, and some movies. I’m still scared of scaring my sister’s kids. I don’t want them to think I’m bad, just because I’m a bad Mormon.

Music Played:
* Summer Song by Chad & Jeremy
* Baby Did a Bad, Bad Thing by Chris Isaak

The JMS 014: How Helpful is Activism?

I complain about activism, and general human complacency. I encourage meditation, drop hints for future movements that I will be spear-heading, and I play Metric at the end.

Music Played:
* Wet Blanket by Metric

The JMS 013: Your Staff Should Know Your Product

I complain about the FDA, and the revocation of the right of the bar-tending staff at Red Bones to try newly tapped beers. I then cover losers that don’t tip, I get very, very enraged.

contest I need podcast intro for the show, the prize again will be an iPod Shuffle. I will keep this contest open as long as need be. If you come up with the winning intro to the show, you get an iPod Shuffle. I’m the judge, and although friends can compete on this one, I will be forced to award the winner, not just the person that is my best friend. This is the real world, not 2nd Grade.

Music Played:
* Pharaoh by The Church

End Note: I guess I’ve been picking some songs you just can’t get through modern channels, last couple days have been rough… I’ll have to pick ones you can actually buy from now on.

The JMS 012: Snow Storms in MA

Long ass commutes coming home tonight and Dave Hope has won the contest! I play some Kent at the end (747)

Music Played:
* 747 by Kent

The JMS 011: Dave Hope, and other Cool Stuff

I talk about how I discovered one retrieve passwords from FireFox’s Password database, and how David Hope helped me extract the Install Key’s from existing installations of Microsoft Windows, Office, and other applications. I then ramble on to a letter received from a Local LDS Bishop, and how I’m not going to his party.

Contest: If you are at least two degrees of separation away from the host of the show, you can collapse that extra degree, and get an iPod Shuffle if you can tell me where the term “Fly by the seat of your pants” comes from, what it means, and why you shouldn’t do it.

In Middle of Updating

In an attempt to get the site more up to speed with the look of the podcast I’ve changed the graphic in the background. It’s a bit of a Jordache Jeans and Barracuda Jacket color scheme at the moment, but it will have to do until I get more time. I’ll work on the color scheme as we go along I guess. I’m sure I’ll get it just the way I like it when I decide it’s time to update the podcast artwork, and that will start the whole deal up again…

…endless is this graphical stuff.
