The JMS 029: NYE Eve, and Plans for NYE

I talk about my NYE plans, and stuff like that, but I’m really just drunk and slow. Short episode, just some music, and that’s it really.

Music Played:
* Boll Weevil by The Presidents of The United States of America
* Everybody’s Free (To Feel Good) by Quindon Tarver

The JMS 028: Tooty Music of The Night

Music from a reformation of the same two boys from the Glib as yesterday, only today, they are to be known as Fast Food Food w/Faces on the special track released today called Priscilla

Music Played:
* Priscilla by Fast Food Food w/Faces
* The Music of the Night by Andrew Lloyd Webber

The JMS 027: The Gang is All Here

Special Episode with the Glib. We enjoy special interviews with Joe Mormann, and Rusty Wieland. It’s a long one, so get ready to listen for a long ride.

A small portion of the Glib perform a Radiohead cover, and answer some questions
* The Josh Mormann Show - 027

Music Played:
* Mushrooms by Biopharm

The JMS 026: I Listen to Books on iTunes

I try to talk up the audio book of Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut as read by Ethan Hawke, but I barely end up touching on it. I cover Stephen King’s Dream Catcher by Jeffery DeMunn, and iTunes, and Linux, and all kinds of stuff before ever truly making my point, and I guess I never really do.

Oh, when I say Jeffery DeMunn can do all the “Maine accents,” I mean it like it is spelled here in the sense that he does accents like people from Maine. Just thought I’d clear that up.

Music Played:
* Kurt Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse Five read by Ethan Hawke
* Beautiful Day Without You by Röyksopp

The JMS 025: Karaoke and Cat Sitting

Too much to do tonight to make much sense in the show notes, but suffice it to say that I have to take care of my buddy’s cat, and also get my ass to Karaoke, and push this show up on the site.

I do, however, remember talking about good TV, and bad TV, and how to take control of what you watch. I also mention briefly what I believe to be the stripped down principles of personal success.

Music Played:
* Space Age Love Song by A Flock of Seagulls
* Absurd by Fluke

The JMS 024: Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas! This is a brief episode recorded in advance of Christmas Day, but intended for release on Christmas Day. Thanks Allegra for this song, and for being a part of the best chapter of my life thus far. The song is called Christmas Star by Allegra Westfall, and Paul Sternberg.

Music Played:
* Christmas Star by Allegra Westfall, and Paul Sternberg

The JMS 023: Christmas will Rip the Bones from your Back!

Well Christmas is approaching. Subscribe to Zaproot, and get green. This is a shorty, but I play some full length songs as a Christmas gift, and as a way to get myself in trouble with the RAA.

I play Springsteen’s Born to Run because although the subject of this brilliantly overproduced work of art isn’t Christmas, the bells, and chimes and brass, just brings holiday joy to my soul regardless if the town of which the Boss sings will rip the bones from your back.

Music Played:
* Free Radicals by The Flaming Lips
* Born to Run by Bruce Springsteen

The JMS 022: Holidays Approaching

Not much to talk about today, just the holidays putting me in a funk. I want to move where it’s warm. I’ve long thought that the best place for me might be Austin Texas. I like the weather in that area, and I think it would be nice to be around the music and film scenes that the area holds.

Music Played:
* Jolly Good by Adam Green
* Deadweight by Beck

The JMS 021: I Want Signet Rings!

So I play the Beatles, I’m evil I guess. I really just end up talking about my shopping experiences today, and some things that that leads me to. I talk signet rings, and symbology, then just general babble as usual.

I want three signet rings, new business cards. My addictions to the Joss Whedon series are almost over.

I bought books for Christmas as usual, and I defend the New Agey types.

Music Played:
* Something by the Beatles
* Maggot by Pony

The JMS 020: 5 Years to 2012

It’s Friday night here in Somerville, and It’s also the 5 year’s left mark until the whole “2012” business.

I ramble about synchronicities in my life, and what not, but as important as the night may be, I’m really just too exhausted to make much of it for the podcast.

Music Played:
* 20/20 by zefrank
* Five Years by David Bowie
* 5 Years by Bjork
