Note to Self: Premise for a Book

Since the available works of recorded history were written, the human species has attempted to explain its origins. Many of the earlier writings give credit for the beginnings of all things to a single entity, and although the ideas about the nature of this entity are often vastly different from one another, there is a tendency to give credit to some single being, or singularity. This single thing is God. Over the course of the following pages, my goal will be to attempt to reduce the complexity of the many explanations of our origins, i.e., philosophies, religions, and sciences, to their basic similarities, and then diagram those similarities in such a way, that will not only help explain where we come from, and where we are going, but also give some insight on why life can be so difficult while we’re here, and how we can make more of it while we are.
