I’m happy to announce that I am currently working on my own, from the ground-up WordPress Theme. The look and feel of the theme that I am currently calling “Block in the Saddle,” will be used accross all my current fledgling brands’s websites, starting with joshmormann.com but will be carried through to two other brands that I will be letting you in on a little bit later. The BitS heme will be publicly available for free by way of the Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike license, and I hope it catches on…
I’ve downgraded to WordPress Default theme in preparation for the unveiling of the new look coming soon!

Ok in my book, the race for the best GTD application has been won, let’s move on. If you don’t have a Mac, but want great apps in general, it’s time to get one, but if you already have one, and need to keep track of your daily tasks, you need this app more than Things, Inbox, or OmniOutliner. Finally someone has done it right!

Bob Marley could have saved my life had I read this last week, but I think I knew this already, I was just too bleeped up to accept it.
BTW the show was missed last night due to a much needed visit to the Asgard. :)
It doesn’t really excuse my behavior of the past weekend, but I did find some solace in the fact that I lost my shit in a common human way, where my subjective thoughts, feelings, and actions caused a feedback loop of distortion, that is common among lesser humans. I recorded this very tired, and dopey. I went out for Sushi and a couple beers with my old roommate beforehand, and it took all I had to keep my eyes open. I think I might be allergic to hops.
The Josh Mormann Show – 161
Audio Played:
Help I’m Alive by Metric
The Science of Enlightenment by Shinzen Young (clip)
Gimme Sympathy by Metric
Hey everybody, I ran out of time for this bad boy, I was late getting home because I was preparing for a press release for Tuesday (today as I’m writing this) and was loured into Blue 22 for their pulled pork sandwich special, which I did not eat, but proceeded to hit them up for an IPA and their 25¢ wings (which they have every Monday). I was a little tipsy by the time I recorded this, and couldn’t keep my eyes open. I recorded it from my bed, with my eyes closed. I don’t remember what I said, but I’m sure I needed to say it, that’s how all my shows work ;)
Talking through my emotionally overrun week, that lead to my worst episode of insecurity and confusion yet. A reaction/over-reaction that could only be described as batshit crazy. This show drags a bit, I’m out of practice, and exhausted from working all weekend under deep remorse. So cut me some slack, as the show gets going again, I’ll get back on my game.

So Sorry by Feist
Jealous Guy (live) by Elliot Smith [version not available, John Lennon's origianal is available here]

Though I would rather not, post this extremely silly MIDI-based karaoke rendition of mine…
Here’s my version of Jealous Guy
Pantscast – For Serious Audiophiles Only. (Finally, Add Farts to iPhone / iPod Podcasts.).
Wow, finally! I do think this was released perhaps few weeks too early, but it is funny none the less. I had to file this under both Awesome Stuff, and Crappy Stuff. It just makes sense.
EverSave: Auto Saving for OS X « AppStorm.
This would have saved me a year of my life by now had I been using this (or something classic equivalent back in the earlier days) since I began my design career.
TidBITS iPod & iPhone: Amazon Releases Kindle Software for iPhone.
Um, hey, Amazon? Thank you! I own the kindle, but uh, it’s a bit bulky for my lasier commute these days. I’m downloading the Kindle for iPhone right now. I am not sure how it works but my guess is that I’ll be able to read my existing library on the way home tonight.
Perfect!
